Introduction
A significant goal of the New Jersey Space Grant Program is to stimulate students to choose careers in aerospace science and engineering through pre-college outreach programs. The intention of NJSGC is to expose children, especially minority and disadvantaged children, to the stimulus and excitement of aerospace early in their education. The consortium was able to develop RFP's targeted towards the pre-college programs, and during the past programs ranging from upward bound programs, summer program involving women, to a pilot programs involving a local middle schools were funded. During the past two years, matching pledges totaling $60,000 have been received for these programs.
